Cute Little Bunny

How cute is this little guy? We found him outside John's parents camp this summer. So adorable. Even though the last photo is a little blurry, I still felt the need to post it out of pure cuteness.

On a photography note, I love the colours in these pictures. So lush and so green! Right now, all the leaves are changing into yellows, oranges and reds and while I'm definitely not complaining, it's funny to post photos that I took a while ago and make the comparison.

Changing Colours

As much as I've said it before, I love Fall.

The crisp air, the new and vibrant colours, the spicy scents... I love it all. All these aspects of the changing of seasons provides me with an overwhelming sense of comfort.

I'm hoping to get my camera out more while this beauty is still present. Wish me luck!

Beginnings of Fall

autumn in thunder bay autumn in thunder bay autumn in thunder bay autumn in thunder bay

We're really starting to see the beginnings of Fall here! There are still flowers sprouting up from the gardens however there's a crispness in the air that have changed the colours of the leaves.. This really is my favorite time of year.

Hummingbird Photography

I have to be honest when I say that when I took these photos, I didn't think that they'd come out nearly as crisp as they did. I remember struggling with these little guys trying to get a decent shot because obviously as Hummingbirds, they are quite fast.

I'm glad that I managed to get a few good shots before they got freaked out and flew away!

Butterfly Fly Fly Away

Can you believe we have turned the heater on in our home today?

I really want to shed a tear or seven right about now. I'm not ready for summer to end but at the same time, I do welcome Fall with open arms. I love the season. Maybe it's because I'm an October baby through and through and so many great things have happened in the Autumn months, I definitely feel my most inspired and content when it starts to get a little chiller even though it IS bittersweet.

I need to take out my camera and capture the ever changing colours of the season and I am so so so looking forward to it!

Have a great day!

This Poor Little Mama Robin...

robin bird photography nature photography At John's parents camp, there's this outhouse. About 2/3 times that I left the outhouse, this bird would anxiously fly by out from what I assumed was fear of me and the others. Eventually, the bird started to relax which is when we noticed it had a nest in a small tree just in front of the building. Pretty soon, it would just stay put as we walked by (I'm hoping it realized we weren't there to hurt it) and would protect it's babies. You could tell that this Robin was anxious though and we were all so worried about the fate of her little family that she was trying so hard to protect. It probably wasn't the best idea, but every now and then I would take out my zoom and try to snap a few photos of her when she was in a calmer state. I managed to get a couple of decent ones (see above) but to this day, we don't know what happened to her babies. I'm hoping they survived through the anxiety of the mom as she did fly away often when she would be startled. Like I said, I don't know the fate of the babies but I'm choosing to stay positive. :) Have a great week!

Happy Hump Day!

I have a weekend off which is pretty rare in this little life of mine so I'm pretty excited to get over this hump.

Here's hoping you enjoy yours no matter what you're up to!

Rustic

nature photography nature photography nature photography nature photography nature photography

I have been wanting to share these pictures now for a while. I just love the rustic look of them along with the damp feel of the scenery. I find it's so much easier to take a pretty photo when it's overcast outside. No pesky sun creating harsh shadows everywhere. I'm pretty sure one of my teachers actually taught me that in College. See, I remembered something from school!

I hope you're having an excellent labor day. :)
