Winter Wonderland

Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography Winter Portrait Photography What an amazing shoot this was! This shoot was everything I love about photography: A candid expression of love in a family. If that makes sense? I honestly felt like a shadow (in the best way possible) being able to catch precious moments of a couple and their dog in the most candid way possible. Nothing about this shoot felt forced it was all just natural and beautiful. This type of expression is what makes me yearn to take more family photos in a setting like this. So, so beautiful. Thank you so much Beth, Kelly & Locke for allowing me to take your family photos. I hope you loved them as much as I did! :)

Intentionally Out of Focus

love kiss photography

This photo came out blurry which at the time, was unintentional. However, upon uploading, I fell in love with the image. I feel the out of focus aspects of the photo gives it a more creative feel.

Portrait Session: Tamara

Photos from my very first photoshoot with an actual person!
Considering these were taken in her backyard, I think they turned out really nice!!
I sure hope Tamara is happy with them.

Since posting these through Facebook, I had a couple of people ask me to shoot for them and while I warned them I'm very much an amateur still, I'm super excited... and also very nervous.

Wish me luck. I really look forward to sharing the final results with you which should be within a few weeks time.

I also want to say that I'm super happy with myself that I finally found "my thing". I've been looking for it for quite some time and photography just sort of stumbled upon me without my really looking for it. But, of course, the best things usually happen that way. :)

My First Portrait Shoot!

I've got to be honest.. I hate winter!
Once Christmas has gone and passed I itch for the summer season to take over!!
So naturally, I haven't been feeling very inspired over ho-hum nature photos of bare branches lately!

You can imagine why I was beyond pleased when my BFF Tamara agreed to participate in a little photo shoot for me.

Here's just a little sneak peek because I want to get Tamara's permission first before I start posting photos of her on the internet!!!

Stay tuned for the awesome photos from my very first portrait shoot! Woot!
